Types of Schengen Visa

Type A — Airport TransitFor non-EU nationals who need to transit through a Schengen airport without entering the country.
Type C — Short-Stay VisaThe standard Schengen visa for tourism, business visits, family visits, or medical treatment. Valid up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
Single EntryAllows one entry into the Schengen area. Once you leave, the visa cannot be reused.
Double EntryAllows two entries. Useful for trips that exit and re-enter Schengen (e.g., visiting a non-Schengen country in between).
Multiple EntryUnlimited entries within the validity period (up to 5 years). Usually issued to frequent travellers with a strong travel history.

Documents Required

Processing typically takes 15 calendar days. Apply at least 15 days before travel and no more than 6 months in advance.

Valid passport (minimum 3 months beyond intended return date; issued within last 10 years)
Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
Two recent passport-size photographs (biometric standard)
Travel insurance with minimum €30,000 coverage across all Schengen states
Round-trip flight booking confirmation
Proof of accommodation (hotel booking, invitation letter, or rental agreement)
Bank statements for the last 3–6 months showing sufficient funds (€100/day minimum)
Employment letter, NOC from employer, or business registration
Visa fee payment: €80 for adults, €40 for children 6–12 years
