Who Qualifies for Stamp 4?

Applications are submitted to INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service).

After 2 years

Critical Skills EP Holders

✓ 2 years continuous residence in Ireland on Critical Skills Employment Permit
✓ Continuous and lawful employment during the period
✓ No criminal convictions in Ireland or home country

After 5 years

General Employment Permit Holders

✓ 5 years lawful residence in Ireland on a valid work permit
✓ Continuous employment record with tax compliance
✓ No significant gaps in residence (less than 6 weeks per year)

Concurrent application

Spouses & Dependents of PR Holders

✓ Lawful residence in Ireland as a dependent of the principal applicant
✓ Spouse must simultaneously qualify for or already hold Stamp 4
✓ Evidence of genuine relationship

Documents Required

✓Completed INIS online application with supporting documents

✓Current work permit and all previous permits held in Ireland

✓Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) IRP card

✓Passport (and all previous passports covering the period of residence)

✓Payslips and P60/employer confirmation for the full qualifying period

✓Tax compliance — P60 forms, Revenue tax clearance confirmation

✓Proof of current address in Ireland (utility bills, bank statements)

✓Police clearance certificate from Ireland and any country of prior residence
